Display Logic

The following is the logic for determining when and where people show up on the PACS website.

Person will appear on the default view of the directory page if:

  • They are “active”
  • They are checked for “Include on PACS People Page”
  • They are a Fellow (any kind) and either the most recent Fellow Year is checked, or no Fellow Years are checked
  • They are not an Affiliate

Person will appear if the user uses the in-page search on the directory page if:

  • They are “active”
  • They are checked for “Include on PACS People Page”
  • The search string matches any part of their combined name and title
  • Note: The user that appears in the search can now be an affiliate or a fellow from any year

Person (Fellow) will appear if:

  • The role filter selected matches the checked role for that user
  • AND the year matches the checked Fellow Year for that user

Note: To see all of the selected type of Fellows, choose “select” under the year filter.

An Affiliate will appear on the main directory page if:

  • The search string matches any part of their combined name and title
    Note: There is no affiliate role available in the filters on the main directory page role filters

Person will appear by default on the specific program’s people page if:

  • They are “active”
  • They are checked for “Include on Program People Page(s)”
  • They are part of the program being viewed (checked under Programs)
  • They are a Fellow (any kind) and either the most recent Fellow Year is checked, or no Fellow Years are checked
  • They are not an Affiliate

Person will appear if the user uses the in-page search on the specific program’s people page if:

  • They are “active”
  • They are checked for “Include on PACS People Page”
  • The search string matches any part of their combined name and title

Note: The user that appears in the search can now be an affiliate or a fellow from any year
